Mary Sawdon is a Naturopathic doctor with a special interest on fertility. She is an associate at Brown & Brown Family Chiropractic in Newcastle, Ontario and Chief Cheerleader of The Fertility Fundamentals, a naturopath led fertility collective working towards supporting women throughout their infertility journey.
As a naturopath and fertility coach, she helps mums-to-be get calm, confident and in control of their fertility. She is passionate about helping women thrive on their fertility journey; leading them from isolation and overwhelm towards a life of renewed purpose and support. She understands the struggle because she has also gone through her own fertility journey. She is ready to help guide you through the journey and THRIVE.
EDUCATION
Mary graduated with honours from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then pursued medicine at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre in the Philippines. After graduation, Mary completed a post-graduate medical internship in the same university and practiced as a general practitioner in Manila. She volunteered throughout medical school in various medical missions to underprivileged neighbourhoods in and around Manila and provided free medical care to those in need. After moving to Canada, Mary worked at the Toronto Memory Program, which is a specialized clinic that caters to dementia patients and runs dementia-related clinical trials.
Mary then graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine with a degree in Doctor of Naturopathy. While working at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in her final year of naturopathic medical school, she provided general family care. Mary also treated the LGBTTTIQ community and people living with HIV at the Sherbourne Health Centre in downtown Toronto.
Mary integrates the best of both worlds through her thorough knowledge of conventional Western medicine and naturopathic medicine. She provides works closely with other health professionals such as medical doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nutritionists to provide the best in team-based naturopathic care.
When not busy in the clinic, Mary enjoys reading mystery and science fiction novels, spending time in nature, meditating, doing yoga, watching movies and spending precious time with her family.
